nbc's katy tur has more outside a restaurant in brooklyn where dozens of workers have gathered. >> reporter: tamron, the protest has made its way to brooklyn. there are about 100 or so workers outside this wendy's in brooklyn chanting just a moment ago "we can't survive on $7.25." they're also holding signs, asking for the right to unionize. they're saying $7.25 an hour isn't enough to support themselves or their family. they're asking for $15 an hour. these wiomen over the age of 28. they're saying often times they need to work two jobs, three jobs in order to support themselves. they can't even get full-time work in many of these industries because they're capped off at 35 hours a week. now, fast food companies say any sort of raise just isn't going to happen. that $15 an hour especially is a nonstarter. they're saying if they raise the wage of their workers, it's going to get passed down to the consumer in the form of higher prices for food. there are no hard numbers on this, but it's estimated that the price of a burger could go anywhere from $3 to $3.50. now, that's really the heart of
